Booking & Payment

Ongoing Postpartum Packages
For ongoing postpartum packages, including ‘The Supported & The Empowerment Package’, the initial 90 minute consultation fee is required at the time of booking to secure your package. This is a nonrefundable charge, however there may be consultation in certain circumstances.

The remaining balance (for either 2 or 4 further in home consultations) is due by the commencement of the first appointment.

By submitting payment, you confirm your commitment to the selected package and acceptance of the services outlined.

One-Off Services
For our one-off services, including ‘The Calm Package’, full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment.

Travel Fees
In-home visits located outside the radius shown in Midwife Michelle MAP (found in FAQ’s) will incur an additional travel fee. This will be calculated and discussed where appropriate.

Communication & Availability

Midwife Michelle business hours are Monday to Saturday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, unless otherwise specified or arranged. In home visits will be scheduled on Tuesday and Saturdays.

Communication, phone calls, and support outside of these hours are provided at the discretion of the owner, Michelle, and are not guaranteed. Telehealth appointments will be made at a mutually agreeable time.

For urgent medical concerns or emergencies, please contact your primary healthcare provider or dial 000.

Medicare Rebates

All services are provided by an Endorsed Midwife, meaning eligible services attract Medicare rebates.

Please note:

• The rebate amount may increase depending on whether you have reached your Medicare Safety Net.

• Midwife Michelle does not process Medicare rebates on behalf of clients.

• An invoice will be issued after completion of services (within 5 business days), which you can submit directly to Medicare for reimbursement.

• Clients are responsible for lodging rebate claims and understanding their individual Medicare entitlements.

Refunds, Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that birth and postpartum circumstances can change unexpectedly.

If your baby arrives early, or your needs change, please contact us as soon as possible so we can work together to adjust bookings or payment schedules where feasible.

Deposits & Cancellations

• Deposits for ongoing packages ‘The Supported & The Empowerment Package’ are non-refundable, reflecting the commitment, administration, and scheduling involved.

• Exceptions may be considered in extenuating circumstances at the discretion of Midwife Michelle.

• ‘The Calm Package’ requires payment in full. If cancelled, an administration fee will be deducted from any refund.

Provider Cancellations
If Midwife Michelle is required to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances, clients will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule, where appropriate.

Liability

Midwife Michelle is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damages that may arise from the use of our services, except where required by law.

​

Services provided do not replace emergency medical care or ongoing care from your primary healthcare provider.

Privacy & Confidentiality

All personal, medical, and sensitive information shared with Midwife Michelle is treated as strictly confidential and handled in accordance with relevant Australian Privacy Laws.

Your information will not be shared with third parties without your consent unless required by law.

Acceptance of Terms

By booking services with Midwife Michelle, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

Midwife Michelle reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, with the most current version available upon request or published on official platforms.
